Design & Production
Tom has worked in association with IBNewsmag and InterMark3 since 2006. This includes design, content and production work for IBNewsmag and the InterMark3 website. His design work attracted the interest of NAQI massage lotions from Brussels, Belgium, for which he designed and programmed its NAQI.us website and assisted with other promotional materials in conjunction with InterMark3, Inc.
His graphic arts firm, Gilland Graphx also works with entrepreneurs and small to medium sized businesses helping bring their ideas to life and add value to their companies. His extensive work includes design and content production for the Pan American Association of Kansas City website and newsletter.
In addition, he designed all the marketing and promotional materials for Futurallia KC 2011 International Business Forum. This event is held in a different country each year, and this was the first time held in the USA and Kansas City in particular. It involved translation of the Futurallia brochure into three other languages, design of the international website and other promotional materials.
Tom worked closely with companies such as R2FACT Product Development and Faultless Starch/Bon Ami Co, building websites and helping to bring customer ideas and products to reality with product renderings, sell-sheets, web sites, and product packaging.
Prior to forming Gilland Graphx, he previously worked in product development and as graphic designer at Top Innovations, Inc., where he gained extensive experience in how a product evolves from its early development stages through its marketing promotion and packaging stages before hitting the store shelves.
Tom graduated from Park University with a BA degree in Graphic Design. Earlier, Tom studied aviation at the University of North Dakota, and learned about urgency and detail from a previous role as a supervisor of flight control and aircraft dispatcher for the now defunct Vanguard Airlines as well as two airlines prior.
