Doris Ganser

Doris is Founder and President of Transimpex Translators, Interpreters, Editors, Consultants Inc. She is an active translator and editor with a degree in Translations from the Institute of Applied Linguistics - U. Mainz, Germany.

 

Doris serves as Senior Editor of IBNewsmag signaling fundamental editorial improvements for every edition of IBNewsmag.

 

Doris has been involved in and taken chamber of commerce and trade association courses both in Germany and the US. These include accounting, international business and shipping, mechanical engineering, typesetting and printing, and electronics.

 

She served the US-German Liaison of the first German fully developed shopping center (Main Taunus Plaza in Frankfurt), international business consultant, and freelance translator in Germany. Her experience includes more than 40 years as commercial-legal-SciTech translator for Transimpex, and 5 years a language instructor for the University of Maryland and a Frankfurt Language School. She is a former board member and still a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), as well as a founder and former board member (still a member) of the Mid-America chapter of the ATA (MICATA).

 

Doris is a former board and committee member, secretary and continues to be a member of the International Trade Council of Greater Kansas City (ITC), and served as editor of the ITC Reporter twice for a total of six years. She is a member of the International Relations Council (IRC), of several ethnic associations, and of the German choir. Her language skills include English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch; she is a former conference interpreter.
