CLAAS of America. From its manufacturing and distribution facility in Omaha, Nebraska, CLAAS offers technically innovative combines, tractors, hay tools, balers and self-propelled forage harvester products that serve North American farmers. Based in Grimes, Iowa, this company is a nutrition-based manufacturer that exports high-shear dry extruders, mechanical oil presses and other equipment to improve animal nutrition in some 100 countries. BioSafe Technologies. This Dennison, Texas company led by Lynn James-Meyer, developed an insect control line of natural products based on her observations of the devastation in Brazil caused by using toxic sprays. Norland/ABE Beverage Equipment. Based in Lincoln, Nebraska, the company manufactures beverage equipment from bottled water to craft beverages that it markets around the world. This Denver-based company, with electric motors and composite airframes, is selling its 2-seat eFlyer Trainer electric airplane for pilot training as well as efficient larger models around the world.
